PRC Seeks Program Manager

The Photographic Resource Center seeks skilled and dynamic applicants for the part-time position of Program Manager. A key role, this position has curatorial duties and supervises volunteers and interns.

The Program Manager reports to the Chair of Programs and, with the Programming Committee, works to oversee quarterly exhibition installs and monthly programs at the PRC; helps steer the direction for exhibitions and programs that enhance the mission of the institution, and heighten the visibility of the Photographic Resource Center in the regional, national, and international art spheres. Supervises the curatorial team, and administers the department, including budgets and planning; coordinates closely with other committees, and interacts with members, volunteers, and donors.

The Programming Committee hosts a variety of events each year, including Exposure, a juried annual, PRC Nights, portfolio reviews, and many lectures.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in curatorial work required. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Art or the Humanities, as well as demonstrated administrative competence, proven knowledge of curatorial and preparatory practices, supervisory experience, and experience in an art museum or gallery setting.

The position requires: excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a genuinely collaborative environment, organizational and administration experience, proficiency in a digital environment, flexibility, collegiality, and a sense of humor. Event attendance is required; other duties as assigned.
