              Dominic Chavez’ began his career when he was only 19 working for The Denver Post. Six years later, he found himself traveling east, where he worked for The Boston Globe. For more than twenty years, Chavez has covered a wide range of domestic and international issues, spanning the war in Iraq to the ongoing drug war in Colombia. Currently, he is focusing his attention on global health issues and has produced six books since 2006. He has also received numerous awards, including a Kaiser Family Foundation Media Fellowship, a Media Excellence Award by the Global Health Council, and Photographer of the Year by the Boston Press Photographers Association for his work in Afghanistan, Angola, and Columbia.
