Does lazy mean being caught without money? For me Lazy means non-production. Lazy means not making my girlfriend dinner. Lazy means not fixing the broken toothpaste holder that dangles above the sink. Lazy means not sending those letters to all the friends that sent me letters. Lazy means not sharing emotions with others. The funny thing is I was lazy in Mexico and loved it. When I take trips, it seems laziness works its way out of me. When I take trips I don't take the word lazy with me. This year I'M going to stop saying I'm lazy. I'm going to witness my laziness in action. I'll witness it while I look out the window. Witness it as I smear my finger prints on the glass.

When you witness, you are not lazy. There s no ruler that can measure how you experience the world. By surrendering you can fight for truth. You don't have to panic. You just have to notice the rising pulse. Nothing is the way people sharpen and mold their senses. Lazy is a heavy weight of emotion to carry against your own stubborn gravity. It will kill the happy inbetween parts of your life. You don't have to call yourself lazy of your not busy making money or love or reading. Your enough

Even as I write, I'm thinking about all the things I have to do when I stop writing. I have an entire neighborhood screaming for my attention inside this unpublished head of mine. To do is not good enough done. I'm never done for today because done is never done. What? Doing nothing doesn't mean your lazy. Not making money doesn't mean your lazy either. We are the only boss we need to quit. Nobody is going to pay me for thinking outloud today, but the payoff might mean letting go of this lazy business I've talked myself into.
